One advisor. The whole picture.

In a large company, the chief technology officer decides which technology is used and answers for whether it pays off. I bring that role to owner-led businesses, across the company and the household.

Strategy and execution come from the same person. I identify where technology can save time, reduce risk or open new capability, implement it to a professional standard and remain accountable for the result.

Everything the service covers

Every recommendation starts from what you already have, and weighs cost, privacy and ease of use as carefully as capability.

Self-hosted servers and systems

Private servers and cloud services on hardware you control, monitored and backed up, so your files, photos and business data stay yours.

Network and security

Segmented, secure networks for the business and the household, with encrypted remote access and hardened devices and accounts.

AI infrastructure

AI that does real work: private local models, specialized decision models and agent harnesses, orchestrated and connected to your systems and data under clear governance, and kept current in a field that changes week to week.

Websites and hosting

Custom websites with pre-rendered pages, global edge hosting and a controlled publishing workflow: fast, secure and simple to keep current.

How we work together

Every engagement begins with a conversation. Scope and fees are agreed before any work starts.

  1. Technology assessment

A paid assessment covers the devices, accounts, software and routines you rely on. You get a written, prioritized plan you can use whether or not you hire me for the rest.

  2. Implementation and handover

I implement the agreed changes, show you how to use them and leave a written record of the setup.

  3. Ongoing oversight

Optional ongoing support: monitoring, upkeep and new ideas as your needs change. Coverage is agreed up front, including how to reach me when something is urgent.

Vaughn Dorian

Founder, RidgeborneHamilton, Ontario and surrounding areas

I advise business owners on the technology behind their companies and households, and I carry out the work myself.

Each engagement is handled personally, from the first conversation to the finished work.

I design and run my own private infrastructure of networks, servers, self-hosted services and AI systems. That daily operating experience shapes what I recommend to clients and how I build it.

My commercial grounding is in finance: securities, investments and corporate finance, a long-standing focus on macroeconomics, and years of independent work in mergers and acquisitions. I weigh technology as an owner weighs any investment, by its cost, its risk and what it returns.

My AI work pairs formal training in AI strategy and governance with daily practice at the leading edge of a field that changes week to week. I evaluate new models, harnesses and agent tooling as they are released and use them in my own work every day.
